Territorial Politics in France and Italy

Two regions, Sesto San Giovanni, located near Milan, and Vynissieux, a short distance from Lyon, were until recently seen as communist and working class areas. This was due to the heavy industry and numerous high powered trade unions. In recent times both areas have become significantly less industrial and have met with a deep social change. It is speculated that recent strong political changes happening in both areas had a strong impact on the social and industrial climates.

The Never Ending Problems In Italian Politics

A minor majority led to the victory of the center left in Italian politics. Although this is a problem for Italian politics it is not the only reason for the political difficulties Italy experiences.
The way that Italian politics is structured is why problems run deeply throughout the political sphere. Italian politics is constantly changing both socially and politically. Political reforms might have the desired effect, but this is a crisis that will not be solved easily.
