“La Mortadella” is the nickname for Romano Prodi. Named after a bland, pink sausage that he represents because of his boring lifestyle. Prime Minister Romanda Prodi shunned limos and took the train instead. Rules and red tape are his legacy. Compare this to Silvio Berlusconi a flashy Prime Minister who travelled in style by chauffeur, or in his private jet. Corruption is his trademark. These differences in Prime Ministers reflects the polarity of Italian politics in general.
